
Responsibilities/Description: Facilitate the Painted Post Operations. Provides overall management and direction for, Fabrication/Production, Facilities Management, Manufacturing, and Process Innovation to ensure smooth, continuous, cost effective and controlled manufacture of products . Maintain effective communication within design, quality and process/materials technology areas, maintain contact with appropriate departments to include Finance, Human Resources, Materials Management and Engineering, and be active in outside professional organizations.
Qualifications: The legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Production-Operations Management w/minor in engineering A minimum of 15 years of job related experience with at least five years of experience managing operations in a union environment. Must be organized and proficient at project and people management. Must be familiar with integrated engineering operations and heavy equipment production. Must have a working knowledge of facilities equipment, operations and management.
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications: Facilitate the Painted Post Operations by performing the following: Lead the Operations group in safety, teamwork, quality, on time delivery, and margin/cost improvements. Build rapport with Union workforce to ensure productivity and uninterrupted workflow. Ensures an effective transfer of new products into manufacturing in conjunction with R&D, Engineering and Quality Systems. Lead the Operations Group with Lean principles in both manufacturing as well of offices/business processes. Assists and develop manufacturing cost control reports, cost estimates, capacity plan, manpower and facility requirements. Assist in financial projections for sales, margins, quality, and inventory metrics along with the plant controller. Provide tactical guidance to operations team to meet financial commitments, as well as provide strategic direction to lead the organization into long range goals. Develops, maintains and provides Materials Management Services, i.e., procurement, PC/IC, shipping, receiving, stores and finished goods for the Company. Directs General Facilities Management activities including leasing, housekeeping, maintenance, plant layout, upgrading, security and safety for the Company. Communicates and enforces corporate objectives, policies and procedures within the Operations organizations. Select, train, motivate and evaluate assigned personnel. Perform management tasks in support of the General Manager.
