09:APA-1351: Staff Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

ENSCO, Inc. has a requirement for a Staff Engineer with an ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE who will be responsible for providing threat and vulnerability assessments, relating testing and other engineer projects throughout the United States. Potential projects involve identifying threat probabilities regarding improvised explosive Radiological and Nuclear terrorist systems.

Qualifications Required:

*Must have an ACTIVE TS/SCI Clearance*
-Bachelors Degree or equivalent; minimum of 7 years of experience
-Excellent verbal and written skills
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Operate in a high-stress environment
-Conduct open-source search material
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft (PowerPoint, etc)
-Composing and preparing memorandum, reports and presentations
-Working with diverse personalities to achieve team goals
-Conduct complex analysis and assessments involving research, development, deployment, transportation, safety, security, storage of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapon systems
-Executing "Commander's intent" in the absence of specific instruction
-Working environmental factors which affect the dispersion of given agents, the expected effort on the population and remedial actions to be recommended to command and staff
-Provide support by conducting background research on topics addressing information associated with nuclear and radiological weapon systems
-Make recommendation for policy revision as necessary

Qualifications Desired:

-Ability to coordinate program activities within a team concept
-Experience with the U.S. Gov't intelligence community
-Counter-terrorism experience
-Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced staff
-Handling of classified information
-Physically working in a classified SCIF facility conducting vulnerability assessments of U.S. systems (no insider look)
-Executive scheduling/maintaining schedules (appt's, travel, suspense's, etc)

ENSCO's APA Division supports a variety of national defense, homeland security, and environmental activities for the U.S. government, contributing to technically advanced security solutions and products such as miniature robots, which focus on navigation systems as well as detection and imaging of subsurface objects including objects buried in a variety of geologies as well as in-wall concealed object detection and imaging.
