JOB SUMMARY:

(RN) Registered Nurse - NICU Scripps La Jolla

JOB SUMMARY:

Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of pediatric patient care. Selects and administers the appropriate care taking into consideration the age and developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek resources as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

At least one year of professional nursing experience.

Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Current CPR certification (Issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross provider)

NRP (by the time orientation is completed on the floor)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

At least one year of professional pediatric nursing experience

At least one year of neonatal nursing experience

Bilingual
