This opportunity is with an established and very successful Global Pharmaceutical Company that is always ranked as a top company to work for across all industries. Our client is looking for a seasoned industry professional with diabetes/metabolism industry experience to institute medical strategy and leadership with regards to medical marketing and product development. They are currently developing a future blockbuster drug to rival some of most lucrative diabetes drugs on the market. You will be leading all activities leading up to and including the actual launch as opposed to taking over a stale product line all ready on the market. Must be an M.D. with experience in Diabetes/Metabolism. All inquires are held in strict confidence in accordance with our strict privacy policy.

Location: Wayne , New Jersey area

Compensation: Base compensation can reach well into the $200k-$230k range based on your experience. You will also receive a very strong bonus and exceptional benefits.

Position Description: In a nutshell, you must be able to use your medical/clinical knowledge and experience to successfully correspond with cross functional teams/colleagues (Life Cycle Team, Development, Product Management, Publications, Sales, etc.) as this product goes to launch and forward.

• Provide your experience/knowledge, on a highly scientific level, to the medical affairs team.
• Must be able to use your KOL network.
• Effectively lead multiple teams as opposed to only individuals. You will also be responsible for providing staff with an ethical atmosphere based on accountability and open communication.
• Work along side an experienced Senior Director.
• Deliver effective and well thought out presentations to multiple teams, both in-house and externally.
• Responsible for managing and organizing all scientific publications.
• Develop strategic and well-organized product goals.

Requirements:

• Medical degree with a focus in Diabetes/Metabolism. Board Certification is highly preferred.
• Pharmaceutical Industry experience is required.
• Must have extensive Diabetes/Metabolism experience.
• Strong communication/presentation skills are a must.
