Description

This is a Technician position which entails the operations and maintenance of a natural gas gathering pipeline systems and related facilities. Typical operational duties associated with this position include: Reviewing, interpreting and monitoring daily operating data. Performing pipeline operational and maintenance related tasks. erforming gas measurement and cathodic control related tasks and assignments. Reviewing and interpreting station/pipeline drawings. Responding to one-calls and pipeline encroachments. Maintaining and repairing pipeline systems including the construction of well connect facilities such as metering stations, separators and pipelines. Work with and oversee contractors involved in constructing and maintaining pipelines and facilities.



Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following behavioral competencies, education, and/or experience and possess: An Associates college degree in a technical based discipline or equivalent experience in the natural gas industry. Experience in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment, associated controls and plant ancillary equipment. The ability to communicate and document work utilizing personal computer based systems. Candidates must be a self-starter, possess a positive attitude and be able to effectively work alone or as a member of a team. This position requires that tasks/assignments are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Applicants are required to possess a valid driver's license and the physical ability to perform the duties listed above.
