Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and at least 3 years of job-related experience, or equivalent. Good written communication skills. Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications, organizational skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Essential Responsibilities: Prepare annual operating plan/budget for specific program area. Prepare monthly and annual estimates for specific program areas using historical actuals and projection data. Pricing and estimating support. Prepare monthly variance explanations. Review and validate monthly/semi-monthly invoices utilizing the company's accounting system. Prepare research. Perform significant data mining in multiple financial systems. Reconcile all data before dissemination. Develop and enter recurring and reversing journal entries and inter-company voucher transfers. Prepare audit schedules, reports, and other financial data for internal/external auditors and organizations. Setup and maintain files within existing financial software. Assist in defining requirements and testing the implementation of new and revised financial system upgrades. Verify proper distribution of charges to specific projects, accounts and contracts. Reconcile asset and liability accounts. Develop and maintain burden rates. Maintain/establish accounting job codes. Assist in the preparation of schedules for DCAA incurred cost submissions. Participate in responding to requests. Perform all other position-related duties as requested. Communicate with both external and internal customers.
