ANIMATION DIRECTOR – Healthcare Studio

JOB DESCRIPTION

IOMEDIA is seeking an Animation Director for the Healthcare Studio to manage a team of accomplished animators and artists. You will work alongside and in conjunction with other IOMEDIA directors to produce strategic, creative, and solution-based visual communications for the Healthcare industry.

This is a full-time, salaried position with a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance and a 401K profit-sharing program.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

· Meet all milestones and final deliverables by delegating tasks, managing timelines, supervising artists, and overseeing the execution of those tasks.

· Communicate weekly on all project needs, resource issues, timelines, and conflicts to VP | Production.

· Communicate to Healthcare Project Managers in regards to project deliverables, and obtaining assets required for artists to execute work.

· Execute on project guidelines established by the Healthcare VP |Creative Director.

· Responsible for all aspects of QA and delivery of finished work product.

REQUIREMENTS

· 5+ years’ experience in hiring, managing, maintaining and motivating staff within a creative environment

· 2-3 years’ involvement within a healthcare-related studio or agency

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple projects

· Possess superior verbal and written communication skills

· BA or BS degree

PREFERENCES

· 2-3 years’ experience in medical illustration, 3D images and/or 3D animation

· Science-based education, incorporating media, communications, medical visualization, or similar

· Software skills should include Adobe AfterEffects, an understanding of the 3D production workflow and its associated software (SoftImage XSI), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office
