As a Senior IT Director you will drive architecture and application capabilities to deliver the technology required to achieve strategic goals and align technology solutions with business strategies by working primarily with senior management.
We are seeking an executive with comprehensive health care industry experience, an end-to-end and strategic thinker with a strong future focus who is able to drive execution. This is an opportunity to have a large impact and drive transactional change in the Healthcare industry.
In this highly visible role you will be accountable to the product management organizations in the enterprise and accountable to:
- Establish effective working relationships with executives and key business partners to collaboratively develop product strategies and creative solutions to business challenges
- Understand the business strategy, translating business strategy to an IT program and project agenda and driving execution against the agenda
- Determine technology capabilities to enable the defined strategies
- Develop IT strategies to meet the business requirements by creating/enhancing Strategic Plans (roadmaps)
- Present to CIO and other senior level executives
- Technology investment prioritization from ideation to budgeted line item
- Define programs, investment plans, business cases and projects
- Apply technology best practices to drive change agenda
- Ensure effective and efficient alignment of technology to support business strategy
- Ensure delivery of technology solutions on schedule and within quality goals
- Providing leadership and accountability for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
- Managing of a team of business solutions architects focused on product enablement
- Developing (and adhering to) annual budgets and staffing plans

- 15+ years technology leadership experience
- 10 years healthcare technology experience
- 5 + in a senior healtcare technology management role
- Managed multiple layers of management staff with at least 3 - 4 direct reports and 5 - 10 indirect reports
- Demonstrated ability to engage with business leaders, C-level executives, UHG-IT key stake holders and external clients
- Demonstrated success in leveraging technology to meet business objectives
- Broad technology experience, including complex systems integration, infrastructure and application roadmap expertise
- Results-orientated individual with strong influencing, problem solving, negotiation, and a high level of emotional intelligence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and push back when necessary
- Ability to build and maintain strong, trusted business partner relationships
- Program Management skills

- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
