Current Recruitment Objective:

 

Experienced computer-based courseware designer and developer proficient in creating both instructor-led and self-paced online training modules. Advanced writing, instructional design, and project management skills required. Candidate should be knowledgeable about the Adobe Flash environment and have experience with Camtasia and Captivate software.

 

 

Publications Specialist Position Summary:



Responsible for developing, writing, compiling, and editing product-related technical, training, and marketing materials for publication in hardcopy and electronic formats.

 



Job tasks:



Work with product trainers and other subject matter experts to produce computer-based training components that can include product simulation, narration, and user evaluation. Responsibilities include creating a pre-production storyboard that details the on-screen display, the narrative elements, and the testing scripts for each e-learning module.

 



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Proficiencies:



Strong analytical ability and proficiency in translating complex concepts and procedures into easy-to-understand technical and instructional materials in both print and interactive or online formats.



Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team to successfully complete both repetitive and detailed work assignments and to organize and implement multiple projects at once.



Well-developed language and communication skills and substantial knowledge of grammar and writing standards.



Skilled, literate, and adaptable to personal computers and software in a networked environment.



Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with internal and external clients.

 

 

Education and Experience:

 

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study is expected. Two or more years' recent experience creating computer-based training modules in the Flash development environment can be substituted for a specific degree or formal training. Evidence of successful product output will be required.

 

 

Travel Requirements:

 

There is no routine travel required with this position.
