In this position the Customer Financial Services Manager will direct and manage all aspects of customer account relationships for a specific account base, including collections and deduction management. Key responsibilities will be to supervise a team of collectors and deductions analysts in order to meet departmental goals, objectives and metrics. Responsible for managing a portfolio to achieve strategic corporate goals. Identify target risk area to focus on improving payment habits and minimizing customer payment deductions. Build and maintain strong working relationships cross functionally, i.e. sales personnel, operations and sales finance. Act as focal point for customer interactions relative to payment, collections and deductions issues. Assess, develop and implement collection and deduction management practices specific to the nature of retail distribution accounts. Act as first level escalation for resolution of credit and collection issues. Ensure that past due accounts receive timely, consistent and appropriate collection action. Analyze customer accounts and credit risks to make recommendations to place accounts on hold or send to collections. Responsible for managing customer relationships and driving timely dispute problem resolution with business partners and internal management. Provide mentoring and necessary training to collections and deductions staff. Maintain proactive and positive interface with both internal/external management. Determine methods and procedures to be used when conducting assignments, and provide leadership and guidance to personnel. Contribute to the development and achievement of organization's goals and objectives and administers company policies. Perform full range of managerial duties for supervised employees including recruitment, salary administration, performance reviews, coaching/counseling, and employee development.

This position requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 10 or more years of related experience and 5 or more years of direct management experience.
