NOC Systems Technician will provide system administration and management of all "non-real-time" functions of the NOC. This includes change management, network design and implementation support and general systems administration and support for 3rd party systems and tools deployed. The Systems Technician will also provide project management, consultation services and support. Responsibilities include maintaining large dynamic networks through diagnosing network related problems to resolution.
Qualifications
- Technical Associates degree and 2+ years experience in a NOC or IT environment.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Must be task oriented and able to work under defined processes and timetables.
- Protocol knowledge in IP physical layer circuit testing (56K, T1, Fractional T-1 & DS3)
- Knowledge of DDS testing, channelized, fractional and T-1 circuits, associated network configurations and topologies.
- Associated hardware experience
- MPLS experience
