Girling Community Care is seeking Attendants for all shifts, including weekend shifts for the Rockdale, TX area.
Job Duties:
Perform only the tasks that are authorized on the Task Assignment Plan (TAP)
Work only the schedule authorized by the supervisor
Report to your supervisor, or to the home office immediately if you sustain an on-the-job injury, even if the injury is minor. If medical attention is required, employees will be required to submit to a drug/alcohol screening test.
Employees must always perform tasks in a safe manner.
Must report to your supervisor prior to your shift if you are unable to work your shift.
Inform your supervisor immediately if there is a change in your address and/or telephone number.
Must report any/all changes in the client's health/status to your supervisor.
Call 911 should the client's condition become life threatening, then notify your supervisor as soon as you can.
Submit complete and accurate timesheets in the timeframe stated by your supervisor.
Know that only your supervisor can authorize a change in tasks, schedule, or hours.
Do not perform any tasks that are not listed on your TAP.
Perform all job duties in accordance with all program requirements and AHS policies.
Report all job-related problems to your supervisor.
Employee is prohibited from the following:
- Smoking in the client's home
- Consumption of alcoholic beverages in the client's home
- Eating in the client's home
- Taking money, gifts, or loans from the client or family members
Employees must report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of the client
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Free of contagious diseases and remain so while providing services to clients of AHS.
Must be physically able to perform all assigned tasks.
Must have transportation if task includes driving, such as shopping and laundry.
Must not be computer-matched in a criminal history check for convictions of certain types of crimes as prescribed by law.
Must be able to work all hours and schedules assigned.
Must have and maintain a valid Texas driver license and auto liability insurance if tasks include driving.
Must have no DWI convictions if tasks include driving.
Must be able to work independently and be able to perform tasks with an in-home orientation from the supervisor.
