Sr. JAVA Software Developer: Ask Staffing Inc.

Atlanta based Global Fortune 500 company seeks a Sr. JAVA Developer for a 6+ month contract. State of the art technology.

You will be responsible for developing an automated publishing applications that support both real-time and overnight publishing of web content running on UNIX/LINUX platforms. Work involves both the data processing applications that take in feeds from outside vendors, and front-end presentation logic that creates pages published directly to a website. Other work may include the development of new applications to support multi-media business functions. Work is typically done within very rigid timelines where date slippage cannot be tolerated. Developer will need to know how to set up applications and run in Unix development environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

8+ years overall software development industry experience including:

• Full lifecycle software development process
• Hardware and software solution architecture
• Enterprise-level concurrent high-volume data transaction systems
• Product Development lifecycles
• Secure transaction systems
• Database architecture and design
• Object-Oriented technologies
• High volume performance tuning
• Configuration Management (CVS / SVN / ANT)

4+ years experience of Java software development on Unix platform

• Internet applications (server side technologies)
• Java J2EE 1.4+ platform (Servlet/JSP)
• Oracle database management systems or similar enterprise level DBMS
• UNIX/LINUX operating systems
• XML / XSL
• HTML / JavaScript / CSS / AJAX / JSON
• SQL, CGI, Perl, Shell Scripting (bash, ksh, etc)
• JMS Architecture
• Application Servers (Web Logic, SunOne)
• Java IDE (Eclipse, Jbuilder, Jedit)
• Strong experience with Unix shells and editors
• Experience with Internet protocols (tcp, http, nntp, ftp)

PREFEERED SKILLS

2+ years using Application Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF, etc)

2+ years Oracle platform

Sybase experience

Java template languages (JSTL, Freemaker, Velocity)
