Job Description:

  • Responsible for providing technical expertise to perform threat and vulnerability assessment of the information infrastructure and systems that operate and are being planned for implementation.
  • Provide recommendations on mitigating threat and vulnerabilities to the Air National Guard (ANG) enterprise.
  • Provide information operations that protect and defend information technology by ensuring its availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality and non-repudiation.
  • Perform security architecture review and design to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain and operate Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and policy.
  • Troubleshoot IPS induced service issues.
  • This is a first shift position.

Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates will have a Bachelors degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in vulnerability assessment and/or boundary protection (i.e. firewalls, proxy servers, SMTP gateways, IPS); or commensurate education and experience.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to interact with various teams and government clients.
  • Security+ certification.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Prior experience working with the ANG preferred.
  • eEye Retina, ISS and HBSS experience desired.

This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred) and to maintain the clearance.
