Small, growing engineering firm looking for structural engineer



Structural Engineer

This is an opportunity to join a small, growing, exciting company with the ability to work on a variety of project types and see a project through from marketing to project completion.

Qualifications required include Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field. Candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience in structural design of highway, light rail, drainage and pedestrian structures for infrastructure-related facilities.

Responsibilities will include bridge design, construction plan development, and interaction and coordination with clients, other engineers CAD operators, and technicians.

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado
  • Knowledge of LRFD bridge design specifications and CDOT bridge design procedures and detailing practices.
  • Ability and experience working in both a team environment and independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Any familiarity with the following programs would be a plus: Microstation and bridge structural software including: Conspan, SAP2000, L-Pile, PCAcolumn, Virtis, Bridge Geometry
  • Project management experience
  • Field construction knowledge
  • Design fee and plan sheet estimating
  • Ability to multi-task, work expeditiously, take initiative, work with a diverse group of engineers and technicians, adhere to schedules, and learn quickly when facing new problems
