IT Lead Software Engineer: Lance Alan & Associates

Seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our clients team. This role will help to set the technical direction for a team of mid to senior level software engineers. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves position and will require substantial coding experience, including building enterprise-class software in a web service and client/server environment. Key Functions * Designing and implementing large, complex projects from the ground up primarily using Java * Work closely with business customers to define and scope new products focused on budgeting, accounting and payroll for the entertainment industry * Provide mentorship to a team of 5-7 engineers, including setting best practices and performing code reviews * Recommend new technologies, tools and standards to improve efficiency and productivity within the team Requirements * 7+ years hands-on Java experience * 3+ years using SQL and relational databases (MySQL/Oracle preferred) * Experience with C/C++ and/or C# preferred * Strong knowledge of OO design, data structures and algorithms * Ability to play a leadership role including mentoring and code reviews * Expert in building web services (REST/SOAP) and client/server applications * Experience with TCP/IP and network programming * Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies * Excellent communication and people skills * Experience using scripting languages such as Perl, PHP, Ruby, Python a strong plus * BSCS or equivalent, advanced degree a plus If you would like to learn more about this position please forward your resume in Word format to lancealaninc@aol.com.
