In-Store Area Manager (Beall's Department Stores)
Job Description:
Beall's Department Stores is accepting applications for In-Store Area Manager positions at our Department Store located in the area of Vero Beach - Port St. Lucie - Melbourne, FL.
The In-Store Area Manager position ultimately prepares you for promotion to Merchandise Manager, Operations Manager, then Store Manager. We offer real advancement opportunities and practice promoting from within. Come work with us and be part of a winning team!

Position Responsibilities include all aspects of the following areas:
- Daily supervision of all operational activities of a Department Store including: Merchandising, Visual Presentation, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources.
- Responsible for approximately 2-4 divisions within the Department Store.
- Train, motivate and develop team to ensure effective performance.
- Effectively manage a diverse staff in order to meet the merchandising standards and sales objectives of the company.
- Provide excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
- Maintain budget controls, and execute to attain sales goals.
- Support and execute all company directives
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
Background requirements:
Education and Experience
- 2 or 4 year college degree, or applicable time in a retail management environment
Personal Attributes:
- Effective communication both verbal and written.
- Enjoys working with the public and displays a strong sense of leadership.
- Solid delegation, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking will constitute 95% of a workday.
- Stooping and lifting up to 20 lbs or more as needed.
Relocation within the state of Florida is required for promotion.
