Position Description:
Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims. Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review. Conducts data entry and re-work; analyzes and identifies trends and provides reports as necessary.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6+ months prior medical claims processing required
- 1+ year PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel required; Access preferred
- 6+ months of pricing terminology is desired but not required
- 6+ months of claim paying and support systems is desired but not required
- Experience with contract reading is desired but not required
- Knowledge of Facets is helpful
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Experience with high dollar claims is helpful
- Must be able to work independently
