Responsible for accounts receivables and contract billings for the region.



Phoenix House currently seeks an Accounts Receivable Accountant to be responsible for accounts receivables and contract billings for the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivables and cash receipts.
  • Prepare monthly billing invoices and associated reports for funding sources.
  • Analyze and interpret budgets for government contract to insure that billing is correct.
  • Prepares reconciliation of bank accounts and cash reports.
  • Maintains records of fixed assets.
  • Prepares reports on special projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to and promotes the Phoenix House mission and values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Associates degree in related field of study or comparable work experience; Bachelor in Accounting preferred

· Two years of accounts receivable or billing experience, preferably in non-profit or healthcare industry

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel, and financial software

· Effective data entry skills

· Good organization skills

· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
