IIS Strategic Intelligence Systems (SIS) encompasses contracts that deliver state-of-the-art intelligence infrastructure, provide high performance data handling and processing systems, develop identity management and immigration control systems, and create software to analyze and employ sensor data. SIS works with both local and international governments to allow for effective response to ever evolving security threats.

Job Description:


This position will require multiple IT related skills, including Software/Hardware Configuration and Asset Management, Document Management, Database Analysis, Database Administration, Engineering Logistics, PC System support, Computer System Analysis. The Sr Info Systems Technologist I will be a part of the GIDI O&S team in St Louis, and will be specifically responsible to: Execute scripts and processes for performing software builds. Support the software change process to ensure review and approval in accordance with established processes prior to making changes to the software. Identify and control changes to products, including the software documentation suite, source code and executable code. Maintain a configuration status reporting system to provide a configuration accounting report for each deliverable software end-item. Track and report monthly Software Development and Software CM performance metrics. Maintain the Software Control Library (SDL). Coordinate production & shipment of software & related CDRL documentation, particularly the Software Version Description Document. Coordinate and facilitate the weekly Change management board. Maintain a record of agenda, minutes and actions from the board. Coordinate, manage and facilitate the document review process for GIDI O&S. May require documentation update in addition to coordination. (configuration Analysis) Administrate the MS ACCESS GIDI Asset database, ensuring the database design and reports provide necessary support. (database administration) Maintain the GIDI Asset database, including data entry of changes and updates. Ensure the database reflects the current hardware, software and licenses. (Database Administration) Perform physical hardware and software audits to validate the database contents. (database administration) Maintain, and create where necessary, Microsoft Access forms to maintain data integrity and non-technical user interface experience. (database administration) Create, develop and produce Microsoft Access Reports from the database. (database administration) Scripting in Perl for automation. Establish new user accounts, privileges, and security. Maintain backup and restore methodologies. Processing utilities shell scripting and batch processing. Audit security log failures. On-call Tasks and Procedures (as required). Recover a server from a failed disk or an entire server and if needed rebuild it. Create/deploy ghost images. Provide our users support for Software, Workstations, Servers, Networks, Printers, and any other peripherals connected to our systems. Patch and Update all software and hardware, as necessary, to ensure compliance with security, fix/prevent known issues and keep system downtime to a minimum. Perform and monitor back-ups of Databases and System Files. Monitor Virus scans of all systems and update virus definitions as they become available. Track Change Requests and Helpdesk Requests from users through Remedy, to ensure all issue are resolved as quickly as possible.


Required Skills:

* Must be able to demonstrate complete understanding of, and ability of Configuration Management and Documentnƒto apply standard, best practice Management processes and procedures.

* Must be able to demonstrate competency in the use of, and maintenance of existing Microsoft Access databases and report writing with MicroSoft Access

* Must be able to demonstrate competency in facilitating group meetings, including creating agendas, inviting participants, maintaining orderly meeting progress, document meeting minutes and action items, and publish meeting minutes.

* 4+ years of System Administration experience to include writing scripts, applying patches, applying virus definitions, checking status of servers, workstations, and Veritas Backups

* Must hold a current T/S SCI and be eligible to obtain a CI Poly.

Required Education (including Major): B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics Minimum of 4 years of related technical industry experience, including configuration management and Microsoft Access database user/administrator competency.
