Internap seeks a qualified Senior Account Executive who will be responsible for formulating sales strategies and executing sales activities in order to attain his/her assigned sales quota through customer lifecycle in the business-to-business marketplace. The Sr. AE is a team player with exceptional organizational skills; written and verbal communication skills; a demonstrated ability to multi-task; and strong prospecting and negotiation/closing skills. Outside Sales position selling Data Center Colocation Services, IP and CDN. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Gain appointments with prospects · Present InterNAP value proposition to prospects · Responsible for target market and account research necessary to perform selling (prospecting/qualifying) activities. This includes scanning newspapers, industry publications and also cold calling prospects · Develop networking partners to enable mutual lead referrals · Attend training on sales techniques, technology, and presentation skills · Continue to work with existing accounts to expand sales in installed base · Maintain a contact management database · Submit timely sales forecasts and reports · Achieves sales and revenue objectives QUALIFICATIONS: · 5 years outside sales experience with a minimum of 100% quota attainment · 3 years of demonstrated ability to prospect/qualify using various techniques including cold calling · 3 years of demonstrated ability to negotiate sales opportunities to closure · 3 years of demonstrated ability to use networking partners to generate referrals · 3 years outside sales experience with more than 150% attainment · 3 years outside sales experience in telecommunications, data, and Internet industries.
