Three year training program designed to prepare craft apprentices, designers and draftsmen

Northrop Grumman Ship Building (NGSB), headquartered in Pascagoula, Mississippi, employs more than 18,000 shipbuilding professionals,and is one of the nation's leading full service systems companies for the design, engineering, construction, and life cycle support of major surface ships for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and international navies, and for commercial vessels of all types.

The Engineering Design Apprentice Program is a three year training program designed to prepare craft apprentices, designers and draftsmen for a career in design, leading to increased responsibility and rapid development. Potential candidates include graduates of all craft apprentices programs, NGSB employees in design classifications below Designer IV currently working in the Engineering department, NGSB employees and external candidates with an associate degree in an engineering related field.

Basic Qualifications: Graduate of any NGSB craft apprentice program, or NGSB designer currently classified below Designer IV, or other candidates with an associate degree in an engineering related field.
