Production Manager- 30005
Description
Purpose:
Manager of multiple production areas. Devotes significant time to managerial, leadership and staff development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coach and mentor production teams, motivate individuals to achieve results and recruit and maintain a high quality staff.
2. Ensure compliance to quality systems and partner with Quality function in setting direction for production.
3. Anticipate business needs and external market trends in driving department and plant production through collaboration with peers and their business initiatives.
4. Drive plant performance by establishing aggressive plant and department cost and budget objectives.
5. Initiates cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues.
6. Provide direction in establishing company/departmental policies and procedures.
7. Establish key business initiatives by acting as a change agent in the organization (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, Shared Leadership, Employee Involvement, etc.) and sponsor involvement, direction and accountability.
8. Promote, monitor and ensure a safe work environment.
9. Work cross-functionally to establish, prioritize and ensure accountability to projects in improving department or plant performance (i.e. VIP, STAR, Lean).
10. Partner with engineering and new product teams and demonstrate an ability to establish strong working relationships to launch new products.
11.Demonstrates strong communication skills that can convey messages to many different levels in the organization.

Requirements:
BS/BA Degree required. Minimum of 7 year of technical professional experience and 5+ years of people management. Experience including oversight of supervisors of others preferred.
