Operation Manager is responsible for operational performance of the Sales and Service activities for the location under his designated territory to exceed the customer’s delivery expectations, to ensure that the company is represented professionally, ethically, with high code of conduct, to achieve the financial, commercial, OHS and environmental targets of the company.
P/L responsibility with ability to analyze data and report monthly on financial and operational performance, identifying key elements to enhance and improve the business or cause of business risks.
Analysis of financial reports to ensure that orders, invoices and receivables are completed/collected in a timely manner and that backlog is a true reflection of the current position.
Prepare annual budgets, including capital investments and periodical predictable sales forecasts.
Enforce all ABB, Federal, State and local rules and regulations.
Ensure that all Performance Driver requirements are completed in accordance with visits, time and accuracy requirements.
Ensure that all members are following the directives, OHS, ISO, SOX and compliance regulations to meet all audit requirements.
Management team member, responsible for implementing, executing and developing initiatives to ensure that the business meets all financial, quality, legal and ethical requirements to continue the high image of the company with our customers, management and share-holders.
Overall management responsibility of turbocharger personnel, including staffing needs, ie interviewing, hiring, training, retaining, succession planning, coaching, developing, to encourage team building in conjunction with the local human resources department.
Ensure required response targets and metrix are achieved for the processing of quotations, orders, invoice, projects, reports, job estimates and inventory turns.
Visit/contact customers to build relationships and develop the market share and drive RCS positions to develop the territory.
Research, compare and evaluate capital purchases, complete all necessary documentation to justify acquisitions though to procurement and payment.
Maintain the upkeep of the facility, arranging necessary repairs and cleanliness.
Provide advice, consultancy and guidance to customers, service and spare parts groups on technical issues related to turbochargers and their components, including where appropriate, the interaction with the engines and/or applications.
Detailed knowledge of turbocharger and engine principles, product range and repair techniques with ability to troubleshoot, producing detailed investigation reports and operational inspections to assist customer improve the efficiency and operation of their product.
10 Years experience in operations/maintenance (preferably ENGINES or MARITIME industry)
3-5 years managerial experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.
Ability to formulate presentation materials for customer visits, whether supporting sales or service or in-house communication.
Supports with the development of customers with high level interface and close working relations, providing consultancy and advice to maintain the product in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Act as Company’s representative working to the company’s code of conduct and in an ethical manner to expand business activities and strives to satisfy and exceed customer’s needs and expectations.
All quality aspects and discipline for job execution, though standard presentation of components from your group following service/repair, including final in-house job inspection to documentation, ie quotations, invoices, emails etc. within company guidelines/regulations.
All aspects of commercial documentation and communication, with an understanding of financial and legal aspects of contracting with the customers and suppliers.
Ensure that all work is in accordance with the quality procedures, company regulations, meets our legal and commercial requirements, delivering the financial controls needed to achieve the company’s targets.
Special projects as required.
Vocational Degree and/or Bachelors Degree in related discipline.
