IT Project Manager - Hartford, CT - Basking Ridge, NJ - Plymouth, MN
As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of projects, such as (a) the telecommunications area, which would require specific experience, training and continuing education or (b) computer based training/web based training, which would require technology research and content design skills. As an IT Project Manager, you will define, manage, and implement system projects. Specific responsibilities include:
- Completion of assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
- Completion of complex or long-term projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
- Performs project evaluation and cost benefit analysis.
- Must be familiar with systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member.
- Generally responsible for all work requirements on a major project(s).
- Assesses performance, rewards results, motivates, and fosters matrix management.
- Directs team to complete projects on time, within budget.
- Delegates, integrates activities and resolves conflicts.
- Manages overall work of 10 - 20 Information Technologists and Business Professionals in 3 - 5 work groups.
- Quality Assurance review and evaluation and documentation of team procedures

Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Combination of 8 or more years experience in one or more aspects of Information Systems development or business / IS areas. Advanced project management skills training.
- 6 or more years of direct Project Management experience in a large corporate environment (1,000+ employees)
- Possess experience with successfully managing a major project, which integrates multiple business areas or systems.
- Leadership ability.

- Demonstrate leadership to team and peers.
- Identify priority to required changes / issues.
- Good oral & written communication skills.
- Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
