Note: Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Job Description :
This position is contingent upon successful award of the Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Services Support (MiDAESS) contract located at The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Huntsville, Alabama. The anticipated award date is November/December 2009. Positions will be primarily based in Huntsville, Alabama, but may require work at other MDA sites.
The Principal Environmental Specialist conducts tests and field investigations to obtain data for use by the company, client and environmental and scientific personnel in determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water and soil.
Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard environmental techniques, procedures and criteria. Work may include technical responsibility for a major phase or component of a project. May occasionally assume lead responsibility for a team of environmental specialists and support personnel.
