 | Manager, International Publicity - Focus Features Job Description:
Responsibilities Work with Director of International Publicity to strategize, manage and execute international publicity campaigns with distributors in each territory to ensure box office success for all Focus Features International product. Collaborate with departments within international and domestic to determine worldwide publicity strategy and profile for each film.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Field all interview and festival requests
Prepare and reconcile budgets for all international publicity activity
Compile and maintain the international publicity status report and festival request chart, documenting requests and approval status
Prepare publicity reports and press cuttings for internal and filmmaker distribution
Edit and prepare production notes and generic print and TV interviews for servicing distribution
Process all publicity expenses, creating purchase orders in SAP for invoices and clearing PCard charges

Represent Focus Features Int'l & oversees talent itineraries & press activities
Collaborate with third party publicity agency & local distributor to determine strategy, junket/talent schedules, screening logistics & special events
Prepare detailed talent itineraries & submits them to talent representatives for approval, fielding any questions & negotiating issues that may arise
Greet & handle talent at events
Liaise between festival & talent / executives regarding all arrangements related to official festival activities (press conference, official screening, screening tickets, transportation)
Book all talent & talent guest travel, including hotel accommodation, per diems & incidentals, welcome gifts & air & ground transportation
Organize pre & post screening events: sending invitations & booking locations, catering, security, & transportation for talent & Focus executives
Coordinate all junket logistics: reserving interview space, booking TV crews, securing a lunch location for talent & catering, confirming hair/make-up artists & translators (if needed) & locking in generic print & TV journalists
Collect journalist nominations from distributors & seeks approval from talent representatives
Notify journalists of press screenings & interview times, confirming attendance & greeting them at the junket
Troubleshoot any problems that arise & handles last minute talent & publicist requests
Submit materials for festival catalogues & completes entry forms
Arrange & coordinates large shipments of materials for the festival & press, including stills, production notes, clips, EPKs
Ensures all necessary deposits/payments are paid prior to arrival
Negotiate rates with publicity agencies & hair & make-up artists
Calculate distributor junket costs & raises invoices
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in film publicity
