2nd Shift (1:45 PM to 10:15 PM); Every 3rd Weekend

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Support Services Supervisor, performs the day-to-day phlebotomy, specimen registration, order entry and processing duties that will achieve the best possible patient clinical outcome and customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. Performs accurate and timely specimen procurement, handling, registration, order entry, processing and delivery to the technical testing areas. Will assist with courier routes, laboratory office and customer support, supply inventory maintenance, and performance improvement initiatives as assigned. Advanced processing duties will be in the areas of culture set-up, cytology prep, pathology office duties and performance of waived testing as assigned. In the absence of a Client Services Team Leader, will assure all laboratory client services duties are fulfilled according to established policies and procedures.

High School Diploma or GED required. Medical or scientific education or background experience is required. Previous experience in a clinical lab and customer service preferred; previous phlebotomy experience preferred; Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid drivers license; PBT(ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred; Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills required; Computer skills required with Microsoft Office preferred.
