Job Description
Applies systems engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems: review and prepare system engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyses, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
Required Skills
Bachelors Degree in engineering, operations research, physics, computer science, math or a related technical field. Must have a 2-6+ years related experience. Demonstrated experience in aircraft, propulsion, avionics, electronic warfare, training, mission planning, or weapon systems and software, interoperability, development technologies, test and evaluation, and equipment specifications is required. Demonstrated experience in two (2) of the following areas is required: manufacturing engineering, producability, material characterization, structural analysis, reliability engineering, systems engineering, software development, software life cycle support, avionics development, mission system integration, vertical flight aerodynamics, tilt-rotor mechanical statics and dynamics, turboshaft engine thermodynamics, configuration management, specification development, environmental impact analysis, weapon system performance, data protection planning, or flight instrumentation. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the SECRET level.
