As a Histologic Technician, responsibilities include processes, embeds, sections, mounts and routinely stains surgical and autopsy tissue, performs special stains.
Position requires ASCP registered as Histotech or eligible for exam autopsy tissue. a minimum 3 years experience all phases of histology technique; BS or AA degree in Biological Sciences preferred. Able to work rotating Saturdays and afternoon shifts.
Skills in the prep, embedding, cutting, and staining of tissue specimens
Anatomic Pathology Terminology and Histology equipment
Proper gross examination procedures.
