TOP NOTCH QUALITY ENGINEER LEADER NEEDED AS INTEGRAL PART OF MAJOR COMPANY




Our client is a leading manufacturing organization within the world and is looking for a PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER . This individual is responsible to develop, direct and coordinate the Product Development System as it related to the Quality Department. Provide project leadership in prevention strategies to reduce variation in process and product design to impact service call rates and promote customer satisfaction. This position is located in Iowa.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the participation of developing robust product and process designs, design verfication, FMEA, Flow Charting, and Quality Plan Development
  • Provide communication, information and data as feedback to the organization on quality performance
  • Establish standards for part quality/control plans for manufacturing plants
  • Leadership in training and direction for use of Quality Tools to eliminate waste
  • Work closely with plan management to evaluate the impact of improvement efforts
  • Facilitate establishment of quality targets and preventative strategies for new product development to reduce sources of variations in process and product
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
  • ASQC Certified
  • 5+ years in relevant Quality and Operations experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in DOD, DFM, FMEA, SPC, QFD
  • Strong communication, organizational, Project Management, presentation and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead change
  • Working knowledge of TQM and Continuous Quality Improvement philosophies
