Job Details:

Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p.

Summary: The primary purpose of your position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct overall operation of long-term care services in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our care center, and as may be directed by the Chief Executive Officer, to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be maintained at all times.

education and Experience Required: Master's Degree from accredited school preferred. Completion of courses in administration. Current Nursing Home Administrator license required. Working knowledge of Illinois Department of Public Health's regulations for skilled nursing facilities. Medicare conditions of participation and federal OBRA regulations is a pre-requisite.

Responsible To: IRC Board of Directors and Illini Campus CEO

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the operations of GMC Illini Restorative Care Center, Crosstown Square and the Social Services Departmental of the Hospital.
  • Ensure the residents receive quality care in nursing, rehab, dietary and activity departments.
  • Coordinate department functions internally with other Illini departments.
  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain annual performance evaluations for each level of IRC and Crosstown Square personnel.
  • Interpret the IRC and Crosstown Square Policies and Procedures to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies, etc.
  • Serve on various committees of the facility as required by IDPH and on hospital teams/committees as requested by the CEO.
  • Consult with administration and fiscal services concerning budgets, major purchase priorities and staffing needs.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through professional affiliations, seminars and conferences. Keep continuing education requirements current as required by the Department of Professional Regulation.
  • Provides direction and leadership for the Hospital Social Service Department and the Golden Care Program
