Certified Oral Surgery Assistants Need For Killeen, TX Dental Office!

JOB SUMMARY

This position will assist with surgical procedures, including assisting during general anesthesia and IV sedation procedures, suctioning, giving pre-op and post-op instructions to patients, taking x-rays, sterilization and infection control, taking impressions, pouring and trimming models, inventory ordering, surgical equipment maintenance, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Prepare treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols
2. Prepare for surgical procedures by setting up the operating room; organizing surgical instruments and equipment.
3. Maintains IV fluids and patient’s vital statistics.
4. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments

QUALIFICATIONS

1-2 + yrs of experience as a DA

Certified Oral Surgery Assistant

· Excellent communication skills

· Professional chair side manner

· Managed care experience a plus

· Bi-Lingual Eng/Spanish a plus

· Orthodontics experience a plus
