Project Engineer/Business Manager
Project Engineer/Business Manager manages and/or coordinates project activities as assigned. For the assigned area(s), the Project Engineer/Business Manager may be required to perform any of the following duties: read and understand the prime contract and summarize contract requirements for distribution to the project team; direct and monitor project engineering functions including monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures and bulletins, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of issues and problems; assure compliance with prime contract and establish safety policies and procedures; assist in management and coordination of activities among all project functions and engineering activities including identification of deviations and management of change; coordinate efforts of engineering team to assure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements; coordinate design efforts with vendors and licensors; review staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with managers and/or subcontractors; assist in the creation and coordination of project plans and schedules, and monitor activities, progress and milestones; assist in the development, coordination and monitoring of project hours, cost estimates and budgets; coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents and bid packages; provide coordination between design and procurement/contracts/construction/commissioning for integration of technical content and schedule activities; identify and evaluate issues/events that may constitute an increase or decrease in project or service, scope, cost or schedule; conduct and/or coordinate meetings and prepare documentation for meetings; prepare for internal and client project and design reviews; supervise establishment and maintenance of project record system; coordinate preparation of project and design space and layout. Position requires a Bachelors Degree and 16+ years EPC industry experience with 5+ years power generation experience, including gas turbine projects (simple cycle and/or combined cycle). Experience must include the performance of functional tasks on EPC type projects with a solid understanding of procedures, interfaces and implementation steps. PE Registration preferred. |
