Job Description

This position has broad responsibilities in providing pro-active technical support for manufacturing and test/debug processes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• This position requires being the first line of defense to internal and external customers in providing technical direction and/or resolution on issues arising from products, processes, and components.
• This position requires working cross-functionally within Brocade as well as working with the contract manufacturers.
• Domestic and/or overseas traveling may be required.
• In depth hands-on test and debug experience with a strong electronics background is a requirement.
• Other requirements for this role include current knowledge in production test processes, test automation, and fixture design.
• Knowledge of software tools for scripting and automation (like LabVIEW, TestStand, - C/C++, tcl/tk, Python) would be a plus.
• This position requires a thorough understanding of test and manufacturing processes of highly complex Networking products, including the use of the products in test and customer environment, production test equipment, configurations and fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
• Additional experience in reviewing ECs, PCNs, conducting technical experiments, conducting acceptance and validation testing of equipment and test stations is helpful.
• Good project management skills and strong problem solving skills, along with systematic data analysis and reporting are required.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment are a must.





Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• BSEE, BSME, BSCS, BS Physics, or equivalent work experience.
• 3 - 7 years of hands on test and debug experience on highly complex Networking products, or similar products – system level as well as component level
• 3 - 7 years of applicable electronic product, test equipment, test fixture, and test platform technical support experience
• Must have excellent analytical skills – capability to perform root cause and failure analysis and report results
• Capability to understand and analyze schematics to aid in debugging of critical issues
• Proven project management skills
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills
• Demonstrated team player with good leadership skills
• Comfortable with technical and business English usage ( documents reading, e-mails, conference calls )
