Duties:
Reports to the Director of Student Advocates. Works with faculty and support offices to solve student issues and address student concerns; provides encouragement to the student and gives academic advice when necessary; makes administrative decisions on student issues and gives consultation to support offices and staff. -Work on Special Projects handed down by the Director of Student Advocate's Office -Work closely with the Registrar and Associate Registrar for LUO to solve student issues -Work closely with the Student Accounts personnel to solve student issues -Work closely with the Assistant Director of Financial Aid / Financial Aid Call Center to solve student issues -Work closely with Academic Advisors and their supervisors to solve student issues -Make responsible financial decisions when necessary (Example: Waive tech fees or tuition if LU is at fault on an issue) -Investigate student issues *HJ
Qualifications:
1. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills required 2. Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and SCT Banner software required 3. Ability to work days, evenings, and Saturdays if necessary 4. Proper phone etiquette and ability to represent the university in a professional manner required 5. Ability to dynamically problem-solve for customers while providing practical information and options required 6. Bachelor's degree preferred 7. Financial aid experience and aid program and process knowledge preferred 8. Experience with student development, student affairs, or academic advising preferred 9. Liberty University Online experience helpful
