Solutions Consultant
As a Solutions Consultant, you are the technology partner with a background of knowledge in customer consultation to improve as-is processes and workflow. Candidates for this highly professional position must bring experience, a vast knowledge of change management and excellent interpersonal skills to the position in order to provide a consultative view to how our customers manage their communications (data and documents, both paper and electronic). As the subject matter expert, you are expected to stay abreast of the latest technological advances coupled with our solutions offerings to ensure that our customers receive state of the art solutions for their businesses. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of Pitney Bowes Applications and how they are relevant to various business processes. Technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, the SQL language, Visual Basic development, .NET, Vmware and Crystal Reports are essential to this position.
The Solutions Consultant will participate in business assessments, analysis, and optimization efforts as well as procedure and training development. This person will be responsible for conducting assessments and analysis and continuous improvement activities, developing competency and defining best practices and job performance standards
Principal Responsibilities:
- Determine database configuration needs and requirements for new clients
- Provide consulting services including feasibility studies, business needs analysis and scope definition to customers
- Presentation of a proposed solution (both oral and written) to all stakeholders
- Organized and systematic approach to conducting front-end assessments and analysis relative to as-is processes and workflow
- Pursue industry certifications in technology, process and project management as a part of continual career development goals
- Defining hardware, software, project management and network requirements for clients
- Operate under minimal supervision on complex to enterprise wide projects
- Assist in streamlining deployment and implementation strategies to improve the customer experience
- Some travel will be required
Qualifications Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills, position requires coordination with IT team members, end users, sales and business leaders on a daily basis.
- Strong written and oral communications is a must
- 5+/- years experience in technical consultation or related profession
- Ability to be well organized, flexible, proactive, and detail orientated.
- Interface with client subject matter experts to facilitate implementation and standardization of to-be processes
- Ability to recognize and test various file types for usability with our solutions
- 1-2 years experience with change management and/or project management is preferred.
- Technology related certifications are preferred
