Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

MyLife.com is looking to hire Senior Software Engineers. As a senior team member you will have the opportunity to design and develop not one, but many complex interdependent systems, as well as work with various cross-functional teams, participating in entire life-cycle of products. All team members must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding, good communication skills, and most of all enthusiasm for tackling the complex problems of scale.

Responsibilities:

Understand business requirements, translate them into design and implementation approaches, and rapidly drive convergence towards the best solution.
Engineer the full product lifecycle, from concepts; design through to maintenance, managing prioritization.
Hands-on coding: develop and maintain high quality code base, consistently delivering challenging, stable and maintainable projects on schedule.
Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to work.
Large-scale production software troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:

BS in CS preferred (MS a plus).
8+ years of strong, hands-on Java, J2EE development skills.
Strong experience with MVC, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSP and Servlets.
Mastery of object oriented design, design patterns, and programming skills.
High proficiency with SQL and database design (PL/SQL a plus).
Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to work with various cross functional teams on multi-team projects.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience with building large scale, distributed, highly scalable enterprise server systems.
Strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
Enjoy technical challenges and constantly striving to improve existing systems
Working knowledge of Unix, preferably Linux.
