Mechanical Engineer

Salary in the 60’s range

Growing company seeks a Mechanical Engineer for their Long Island location; must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Masters a plus. Minimum five years experience in 3D modeling design and knowledge of ultrasonic sealing preferred.

Responsibilities: Design mechanical components and assemblies used in manufacturing of batteries, chargers and accessories
Use Solidworks & CAD programs to create mechanical solid models and finished drawings used in Mfg of molded plastic enclosures, sheet metal enclosures and machined parts
Support proposal efforts by converting customer requirements to conceptual layouts and drawings
Review technical literature to obtain material and components to resolve technical design issues
Support production in adjustment and proper functioning of ultrasonic sealing equipment
