Manufacturing Engineer
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant and implement TOC-DBR:
JOB DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
2. Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
3. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
4. Travel to other Brice/TIMCO work sites, customer and supplier locations.
5. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing engineering, fifth year college/university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Be familiar with Solid Works; Must have experience with BOM Routings and Process audits; Must have some blue print reading and design experience;
3. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
4. Must have thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes i.e. CNC machining, , thermo forming, mechanical assembly, compression molding, urethane casting etc.
5. Be able to develop and write process documentation, procedures in an FAA process environment. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
6. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
7. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
8. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
