Hedge Fund Financial Applications Developer

High Profile financial boutique seeks Financial Applications Developer with strong SQL Server 2005 skills.

You will manage and support the firm's asset management and portfolio applications environment, including upgrades and maintenance. Technologies include Advent, Charles River, and Bloomberg. This will include applications support, data feeds, overnight batch cycles, FIX networks, trade settlement, SWIFT, and related technologies. You will design, code and implement data driven solutions based on user requirements, including custom reports using Crystal Reports and Microsoft Reporting Services, across the firm. Provide applications support for Trading, Operations and Client Services groups - serve as a user help desk. Assist IT Infrastructure Team with entire range of system support across the Windows environment. Create documentation using Visio, Word/Excel and Microsoft Project as needed for implemented projects.

Requirements include:

* Completed college degree with Computer Science or related course of study (engineering, math,...) required.

* 2+ years of direct experience with asset management applications including Advent APX or Axys and Charles River Investment Management System (IMS).

* 2+ years experience in database management including significant expertise with SQL databases (SQL Server 2005) and reporting tools (Microsoft Reporting Services SSRS and Crystal Reports)

* 2+ years experience in in all phases of software development such as requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment and user support.

* Significant experience creating ASP.Net applications using VisualStudio.Net 2003/2005.

* Experience with these related technologies helpful: Actuate or Voice Objects, Perl scripting, Sharepoint, Visual Basic 6.
