  • Job Description:
    As a member of the Web Management Services team, the incumbent will work with the team to develop engaging, usable, and accessible Web 2.0 products to support a Federal client's Internet and intranet Web sites. The incumbent will also be responsible for gathering new system requirements and assisting in the coordination activities related to Web site maintenance of the client's Internet and intranet sites The incumbent may also be expected to fulfill a variety of task-dependent roles, including researcher, analyst, writer/documentation specialist, and tester.

    Job Essential Functions:
    · Agile client-side Web 2.0 development skills using technologies such as JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks including JQuery in the Federal Web environment.
    · Candidate must be able to write elegant, modular code with a strong re-use ethic.
    · Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of user-interface design principles and best practices for Web sites and software applications.
    · Self-motivated; able to prioritize and multi-task..
    · Excellent customer skills.
    · Strong team interaction and problem solving skills.
    · Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Position Prerequisites:
· High level of competency with XML/XSL, XHTML/CSS standards and DHTML.
· Knowledge of Adobe CS 3/4 tools including Dreamweaver.
· Knowledge of Section 508 requirements for Federal Web sites.
· Ability to grasp new technologies quickly.
· Must be located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
· CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a DHS Public Trust 5c Background Clearance Check.
· Working knowledge of content management software is helpful.
· Experience working on large branded Web sites a plus.
· Server side Web scripting skills a plus.
· Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm or 9:30am-6:30pm
