JOB SUMMARY: Adapts basic formulas for use in weighing products in accordance with laboratory specifications by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads production orders scheduled for processing to determine amount of chemicals required for each batch. Reviews basic formula developed for batches as specified by the laboratory to ascertain amounts of chemicals used in converted formula and for the pre-weigh of raw materials. Calculates weights and measurements with proficiency and accuracy. Provides amount of chemicals required to make specified product in conformity with laboratory specifications. Records amount of raw materials used to make the formula. Conducts accurate inventory of the raw materials staged and weighed. Cleans and sanitizes the equipment used. Observes all company safety rules regulations and Compounding S.O.P's.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read and follow written directions in English on Formula Sheets, as well as, verbal directions and follow general cleaning and sanitizing procedures for tanks, kettles, drop pipes, etc
• Master the operation of Hydraulic jack and the two wheel drum truck, able to lift and move a 70 gallon drum, and withstand excessive stooping, standing, and bending.
• Must be able to understand and follow all safety rules and procedures.

  Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of related experience plus 1 year of inventory experience
  • Must have excellent math skills and be able to document formulas
  • Goal oriented, excellent oral and written skills
  • Good knowledge of weight and measurements
