Intensives Advisor: Liberty University

Duties:
Reports to the LU Online Intensives Coordinator. The Intensives Advisor performs duties that involve the enrollment, re-enrollment, degree advising of matriculated students, as well as serving as the student's advocate, as guided by the long and short-range goals of the University. The advisor counsels individuals and provides educational guidance services while students attend week long intensive courses offered on campus. Specific duties will include but not be limited to: -Provide face to face contact with the Online student body as they visit campus for intensive classes -Report student needs to the Intensives Coordinator to better enhance customer service and effectiveness of the intensives program -Manage an email queue that is specific to intensive student issues and questions, while providing feedback to students in a timely manner -Advise students on class selection and availability as well as University policies and processes that pertain to them -Assist the Intensives Coordinator with welcome luncheons and daily use of the Intensive Hospitality Area -Serve as a liaison between students and faculty as it pertains to current or upcoming intensive course offerings *HJ

Qualifications:
1. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills required 2. Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and SCT Banner software required 3. Ability to work days, evenings 4. Ability to represent the university in a professional manner required 5. Ability to dynamically problem-solve for customers while providing practical information and options required 6. Bachelor's degree preferred 7. Experience with student development, student affairs or academic advising preferred 8. Liberty University Online experience helpful 9. Excellent customer service minded attitude is a must
