Bead and Pearl Intern (Unpaid): David Yurman

Objectives

§ Explores and develops design concepts from initial concept through renderings, layout, waxes to design sign-off

§ Traffics collections and specific designs through creation of job bags and manages process through design sign-off at direction of design manager.

§ Contributes creative design ideas to the design and design planning process.

§ Assists in preparations for all sales, design and stylist presentations.

§ Participates in daily status meeting conducted by design manager.

§ Partners with stone, engineering and purchasing department to source and order materials needed for design process.

§ Takes notes at all design meetings and downloads to senior design assistant to compile comprehensive recap.

§ Contributes to “Competitive Trend Library.”

§ Participates in Tuesday night design.

Qualifications

• Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop and Outlook.
• Highly organized and self motivated.
• Creative aesthetic in keeping with that of the David Yurman brand.
• Knowledge of fine jewelry design and manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
