Project Manager, Hazardous Waste Management

An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join a very successful international company that specializes in hazardous waste management.

Accountabilities

• Supervise field employees that provide specialized hazardous waste management services to clients in accordance with government regulations.
• Coordinate activities among field personnel, sales, operations, and subcontractors in order to complete scheduled projects successfully and safety.
• Communicate effectively with operations personnel, customer service, and sales personnel regarding project status.
• Identify consolidation and cost reduction opportunities.
• Assist in proposal development and bid responses for new business.
• Prepare project estimates to support contract preparation for approval of existing accounts and new accounts.
• Build positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
• Provide training and guidance on complex matters to field service employees.
• Adhere to budget and schedule parameters.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or a related science discipline such as physical sciences, engineering, health science, industrial hygiene or occupational safety (MS degree preferred).
• 5 to 7 years of hazardous waste management experience.
• 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a California Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is mandatory.
• 40-Hr OSHA HazMat training
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated high level of motivation and enthusiasm.
• Willingness to accept a variety of challenges.
