LEAN MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Job Description : (Updated 11/5/09) Our client, an internationally recognized manufacturer of consumer goods, located within commuting distance of Milwaukee, has immediate opportunities for two continuous improvement engineers with solid experience in high-volume manufacturing. These are newly created openings offering high visibility and the potential for advancement into operations management. To be considered for these opportunities you will have:
- A minimum six years experience conceiving and implementing kaizen or TPS programs in a high volume manufacturing environment. Experience must include leading cross-functional teams, not simply following the leader.
- A BS degree in engineering or business from an ABET accredited university. MBA is desirable but not a requirement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to travel 25% as necessary.
- Superior communications kills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to train junior team members and other work associates in continuous improvement concepts and techniques.
- Experience in establishing performance metrics and in counseling associates in means and methods to achieve their goals.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience in consumer products manufacturing is essential. Assembly, injection molding or liquid filling is desirable but not not required
