Job Description
Review and analyze all pertinent credit and financial information, including business/personal tax returns, balance sheets, profit/loss statements, credit reports, environmental reports, appraisal reports for the development of credit information utilized by the Bank for lending decisions. Determine the need for more thorough investigation or additional information and contact appropriate sources to obtain required information. Formulate appropriate credit and loan structures in line with bank policies and guidelines through identification of the credit needs of the borrower for booking of financially sound loans. Prepare summary and credit memorandum, present facts and offer an opinion concerning the creditworthiness and financial condition of the applicant(s). Work closely with account officers and branch personnel in preparing and, where appropriate, presenting loan proposals to borrowers which outlines the essential temrs of the transaction. Identify any potential and/or developing problems and insure the appropriate managers are informed.
Skills/Requirements
Minimum 3 years credit analyst experience in a lending environment; thorough knowledge and experience with analyzing financial spreadsheets, business/personal tax returns, balance sheets, profit/loss statements, credit reports, environmental reports and proposals; Excellent ability to analyze credit and financial information; Proven ability to exercise sound judgement; Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines; Excellent Word and Excel skills required; Ability to analyze financial spreadsheets; Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required. BA in finance or economics preferred; Bilingual skills in English and Mandarin or Cantonese a plus
