Assistant Manager


Job Description:

  • We are looking to hire an experienced retail store manager.
  • Candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service, communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff to excellence.
  • A minimum of 2 years retail Store Management experience and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating a multi-million dollar store
  • Maintaining company merchandising standards; fully participating in general merchandising buying programs
  • Ensuring the proper procedure of textbook cycle of adopting, purchasing, selling, and returning of textbooks
  • Improving and monitoring performance on a regular basis to promote optimal store growth
  • Maintaining positive relationships with clients
  • Recruiting, hiring, evaluating, training and developing store personnel
  • Constantly communicating within the store and outside of the store with clients, the Regional Manager and the Home Office

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • 2 + years retail store management experience with a customer service focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and occasional evenings and weekends
