Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of a team consisting of multiple Shasta Head Start centers and employees. Regular duties include staff supervision and performance management, site monitoring, licensing and program compliance, program implementation, training, and community collaboration for several childcare facilities.

40 hours/week. 52 weeks/year.

Minimum Qualifications:

· BA degree in Liberal Studies, Infant/Toddler Development, Child Development, Human Development, or related field required.

· Two years supervision and experience in Infant/Toddler Development, Child Development or Human Development required. Five years supervision and experience in Infant/Toddler Development, Child Development or Human Development preferred.

· Valid California Drivers License and clean DMV record.

· Pre-employment drug screen

· Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Background Check.

· Ability to complete a Strength Assessment.

· The employee must be able to regularly lift, carry or move 20 lbs. The employee must be able to occasionally lift 20 lbs overhead and 40 lbs from waist to shoulder. The employee frequently lifts carries or moves up to 40 lbs, and occasionally lifts 50 lbs from floor to waist. The employee must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs horizontally.

Compensation:

$18.58 - $20.17 per hour (Depending on Education).

Employer paid medical, dental, vision after six months.
